Check this out...

I've been working on Photoshop, too. Like this?

SO much to tell you.

I have been so busy getting books done and in and edited and pre-edited and marketed and accepted and am still writing on a deadline.

I had one story come out today at Torquere in the Changing Lives Charity Sips line, the proceeds of which will all go to the Matthew Shepherd Foundation. I was thrilled to be accepted in this group when this charity was chosen. My Sip is called Changes. Please go to Torquere and buy lots of these great short stories. It's a great theme and there are great authors and great reads.

Take It EASY was accepted and I have just finished the first round of edits on it. It comes out November 25th at Torquere.

The Six of Pentacles: Tommy's Story is coming from Torquere on December 12th as part of the Arcana series. It is a sequel to Soldier and yes, you'll meet all the characters from Soldier as Tommy comes into his own.

Too Keen was accepted and I have just finished pre-edits on it for Total-E-Bound. It is due to come out January 25th.

I am writing Love, Grant and it will come out from TEB in April. It's coming along and. of course, is a sequel to Love, Jamie.

Between Matt and Jason has been accepted and will be coming next year from Torquere. It is a sequel to Between Us.

So, that's why I've been absent lately. So busy, and I have a deadline on Love, Grant. I'll be pretty scarce until that is done. I want to make it as good or better than Jamie. I couldn't stand for it to be a disappointment.

I've been reading a lot of good books recently that I learn about on Goodreads, a fabulous site.

I'm thrilled to be on GLBT Bookshelf. That is one of the best ideas anyone ever had, I believe.

So, that's what I've been doing. Now, it's back to work. Thanks for your support.

Hi guys, member me?

I've been way bad about keeping this up. Much going on with Mom at the nursing home and I've been writing like crazy trying to get things done so I can get on to other things and so on. Starting a lot of edits so I'm gonna be a busy bee this fall. No problem. That's what I want. The busier I am the more I can get out to you see if you like it. Later. You really should check out all the great things on GLBT Bookshelf and I'm really enjoying Goodreads, too.

Good Reviews for Bought and Paid For!

Erotic Horizon had this to say about Bought and Paid For:

..."A delightful read from Ms. Miles’ and it just hits the spot. With characters that you can’t help but empathise with and ultimately fall in love with, Ms. Miles has continued with her usual style of tossing young men who are battling against person or persons to ultimately get to their soul mate.

Ms. Miles has come out to play with BOUGHT AND PAID FOR and I for one am having fun. "

Yea! Thanks so much.

Vallerianna at Night Owl Romance says:

..."As a quick feel good read, this book has all that a reader could want. I'll definitely be looking for some of Ms. Miles' other books."

Elisa Rolle, on her Live Journal page, says:

The author has the chance to push a lot on the angst button, but she chooses to dose it; with Parker's job it would have been easy to arise sympathy for him, and instead she only gave a glimpse on it when serves her to describe how caring Deacon was for his lover. Other than that, more than on the angst button, she chooses to push on the emotional one. Deacon's choice how to use his inherited money, his actions towards Parker, but also Parker's easy conquest, due to his love for Deacon, are all thought to make the reader smile and dream, more than make him cry."

Good news.

My new one, Bought and Paid For, out with Total-E-Bound (TEB) is doing well. I've had two good reviews so far and fans like it.

Happy Weekend to you!

This is what I've worked on recently, a new postcard. I worked hard on the design. I've been busy with real life lately with being sick myself, and Mom is not well at all. I've been dying to get busy on Between Matt and Jason and promise that I will, and get it in. Then I want to do another short story. The next big one will be Love, Grant. I think about them all the time. I just can't get to them. But I'm gonna. That's a promise. Enjoy your week. Later.

You have to check this out!

How cool is that? GLBT Bookshelf is a place for writers of GLBT literature and readers to come and find just what they're looking for. It's easy. It's all there for you. Pages and pages of blurbs and excerpts, reviews, and info. I love looking at the pages of my fellow authors. If you look in the bottom left corner of this ad, you'll find Smart Alex. Yea! I am excited to be part of this site.

I highly recommend this to you if you're looking for all levels, all kinds, all variations of GLBT.

I've worked hard today making banners for my books, etc. Thought I'd see if I could add them on here. Bear with me. Well, there's one book and mine. Looks okay, I guess. It was fun making them. Now I need to get to writing.

Why don't you stop by?

I'm over at Beth Wylde's group today sharing info and excerpts from current releases. Joining me are Meg Leigh and TC Blue. It should be a very interesting day with fun and frivolity. Not to mention sexy manlove and so on. We'll be answering questions even asking some. Come on by

I can't wait to get my hands on Love, Jamie. Actually hold it in my hands. Can you tell it will be my first one in print? I'm so tickled.

I started writing Between Matt and Jason today. Feel good about it. Still knocking around ideas for Love, Grant, but will start it very soon. My life is settling down and I can focus a little on the writing now.

I'll visit Mom each day, but not for so long. She has things to do out there and that is good, for both of us, I guess.

I have salmon baking in the oven, new potatoes and squash to reheat from last night and it's a good night.

Reading Grey's Awakening by Cameron Dane. Read all by that author. Good stuff.

Bought Notturno by ZAM, and two more by Carol Lynne today, too. See, it's a good day!

Taking a much needed break. Getting thoughts together to start on Between Matt and Jason. They are back from Gatlinburg and going on with their lives. They're just together now so we'll see what life throws at them. Have some ideas. Just need to get the notes set up. Try not to make a huge mistake like I did in the other one. No one seems to have caught it, but I did the other day and freaked out. I'll be careful from now on. Notes, notes, notes. Take better notes. Going to reread Between Us so as not to miss anything.

It's thundering out there and I'm all cozy in here. But I have to shower and go out to see Mom in her new digs.

Hey, hey, hey!

Good news. TEB is taking Too Keen. Yea! I love the story. It is fun and light and sweet and full of action and love and sex and pain and heartache and joy and renewal know, that sounds a lot like life, huh? It's a great story. It is due out in January of 2010. Hang in there with me!

Having to put my mother into a nursing home this week. Was told that it's probably cancer (stomach or colon) that has caused all the recent blood loss and lack of appetite, etc. Too frail to go through tests now to see. Not a good time here in RL.

Hope all is well with you all and I'll be back soon.

Had a good time telling them how I'd like the cover to be for Too Keen.

Gotta love a weekend!

I'm busy reading over Between Us so I can start on the sequel. I enjoy these two men a lot and have some good ideas for the story.
I'm going out with friends tonight and am looking forward to that. It's been a while.
Finished making a lovely slideshow last night to send with a friend to Iraq.
I'm reading Spoken by Sean Michael and loving it, of course. Haven't read any of his that I haven't loved. Favorite, besides the Jarheads series which is at the top? Tripwire. Love that one. Trip and Bones. Great stuff.
There are just not enough hours in the day to do all the writing and reading I want to do. To say nothing of RL!
See ya later.

Must get to it!

I'm busy working on pictures today and I really need to get to work on the books. I will. Promise. I think Matt and Jason need my attention first. So, it's off to Nashville and Gallatin for more with them. Got some plans milling around in my head.

My first one!

I'm pretending people are just dying to read things about AKM Miles and the books created by AKM. So with that premise, we shall go on.

I just had a book accepted by Torquere called Take It EASY. It should be out in November. I have another short story in the Arcana Series called The Six of Pentacles: Tommy's Story, coming in December. This is a sequel to Soldier and tells the story of one of the kids in Dillon and Soldier's book. There will be a longer novel later about Gom.

I have a short story coming out at Total-E-Bound (TEB) called Bought and Paid For, in July and my novel, Love, Jamie comes out in print in July from TEB. Looking forward to that month.

I am starting on two sequels. One is for Torquere and it is called Between Matt and Jason about the characters in Between Us. The other is for TEB and it is called Love, Grant about the characters in Love, Jamie. They are both in the thinking stages, but I'm getting started on them soooon.

I have a beta reader working on Too Keen that will be sent to TEB soon.

Sound like I'm busy enough? I am, but I love it. I truly love writing M/M erotic romance. I also love reading it and have so many favorite authors. They keep me busy when I'm not writing.

I'm also a photographer. I love shooting flowers and horses. I may throw in a picture from time to time.

So what about you?
